A land of different biomes, of strange temperature shifts but much wildlife and things to forage. He'd left the place of his falling, wanting to explore and to know more about where he'd landed. Word of mouth was one thing but it was another to actually experience it for himself. Wings lifted him up into the air, every flew flaps sending a shooting star dancing across the great feathered expanse while every movement shifted his glittering stars. It was a juxtaposition to the early rising sun that was just beginning to make its way up into the sky. The morning was here and so was he.
He hadn't known quite how to fly, only that when he'd opened his wings to stretch them it was an automatic thing. Like walking, he'd never quite forgotten it and so it was an easy task to take to the air to explore. The sky was quicker than walking the ground and altogether safer though the winds chilled him far more than he was used to. Land. He needed to rest and eat for a bit, recover and then take off once more.
He was passing over a fertile belt, this was where he would take his rest. The star-pelted buck landed and within a few moments was quenching his thirst at one of the snaking rivers. His next action was to begin grazing some of the rich vegetation. It was fed a nutritious diet by the loamy soil and he could taste it. The buck was reluctant to leave and so, after a moment of deliberation, he settled beneath a tree and began to ruminate. His pale blue eyes took in everything around him, every strange creature and every movement the wind caused the foliage. Even his mind was open to the approach of others where he could sense even the tiniest flicker of thought from the bugs below him. He wanted to miss not a single thing but in this state of "knowing" it was also a state where he was the most vulnerable to being snuck up on.
