Joining - A Winter Knight - Ptak - 05-11-2018 Black hooves crunched softly against the snow and the frost, a cold front having re-chilled the mountain range despite it being the midst of summer. A cold gust pierced through his coat and feathers, and the Cerulis fluffed his wings, ruffling the feathers and pressing the appendages tighter to his body, fighting down the shiver that raced down his spine. Frosty air came from his nostrils as the dark stag snorted lightly, a quiet, mindless sound as he walked, starry gaze scanning the horizon. He was rather well off for the cold, all things considered, thickly furred hide and feathers aplenty aiding to keep him warm, but he was unaccustomed to this chill. It mattered not how well suited he was to it, when he had never tasted it before in his memory. Not that he had much to go on. His past was snippets and pieces, inconclusive and unfulfilling as he pondered on it. It left him with a sense of being lost and of confusion, and he shook his head, the feather crown along his back and neck fluffing in slight agitation at the thoughts before relaxing once more. Dark blue fur looked like a constellation of stars with the snowflakes that rested upon it, remnants of the small flurry that had blown through not so long ago. A few of them had yet to melt, a testament to the chill of this upper region of the mountain range, or perhaps simply to the length of his coat that some of them had yet to melt despite being so close to his body heat. He wasn't altogether sure why he was here. Scents had gone in this direction, and he had been unable to stay still after stumbling from the festival like a drunken fool, the shock of all that had happened wreaking havoc in his mind. Something pulled him to distance himself from the horror and travesty. Or perhaps it was a call to search, to wander and look for he was in need of something. Something he could not quite recall, and not quite discern, but he was looking for it. He would know when he found it, but for now, he must look. Perhaps... perhaps if his senses had not fooled him, and others truly did live here, perhaps they could help him. Perhaps they could show him what he was looking for. OOC: Did someone say Arklov needed a new Padhoof? Too bad it wasn't actually a question. RE: Joining - A Winter Knight - Siberna - 05-29-2018 Siberna trailed the stag along the final steps into Arklov territory. Tail twitching and ears high, the Orian observed the alluring Cerulis. His gaze was stern, calculating the various strengths of the wandering stag. He seemed comfortable amongst the flurries of the mountain range. From a distance, Siberna could tell the thickness of his pelt provided possibility for more than just minor visitation. He'd never seen a buck such as this. It was not necessarily the allure of his pelt that caught Siberna's attention, but the scents that flowed from him. They were newly born, coated in scents of the land that had yet to permeate into the beast's skin. Upon his flesh, Siberna could taste a different flavour, unrecognizable, and this spark of curiosity ultimately drove the buck forward. His pelt was starting its change into the seasons. Though white and opal still clung to the thickest parts of him, already a redd-green was starting to show through in the underlayers. In certain steps, the Vigilante descended in front of the buck, ice eyes locking on his. What do you seek? Straight to the point, yet open ended and inviting. If the buck sought a minor repreive, Siberna would grant it. If he sought to join the herd, Siberna would deliver the man to Tundris, for only the Lord could decide if the herd needed more. Siberna suspected this would be an easy addition, should Tundris agree with it. Arklov was small, and new births would be happening soon. Any additional set of antlers and hooves to ensure protection was welcomed by Siberna. Ah, but you are no longer the lord of this herd. His gentle internal voice reminded; nevertheless it was his purpose to discern whether a beast was worthy of bringing to Tundris at all/ |
