SUMMER
APRIL, Y1. Calm season.
Nature - The Thambai is currently flooding. It is dangerous to travel due to the high waters and seemingly endless rains. |
Tamelyn
Wanderer of the wilds

||||||||||||||
A slender, longlegged doe whose delicate proportions seem ill-suited to one as cantankerous as her. Her base fur color is a deep, rich red, but instead, due to her piebald coat, she is covered almost entirely in a pale cream. It begins on her belly, legs, and throat, and blooms upwards, dappling her shoulders and flanks and painting a long, broad stroke down her spine. Her fur grows long and bristling from the base of her skull down to her tail, giving her a wild, exaggerated silhouette. The does's eyes, set in an alabaster face marked with auburn freckles, are a deep forest green, sparking with life and energy. She wears a sort of bracelet on her right foreleg, an affair of wrought silver formed into a stylized thunderbolt, her family's crest. Set at the base of the bolt is a lightning-ridge black opal, considered to be a lucky charm of sorts. It was given to her mother by her father as a gift, and later passed to her.
The girl is proud to claim direct descent of an ancient lineage of warriors, whose thundering charge could shake the ground for miles and whose warriors could call down storms upon their foes. They were indomitable, wild creatures, steadfast protectors of their herd and lords of the battlefield. Or so she claims, anyway. The truth behind her family name is a bit murkier, and much of it has been lost to time. She takes her surname from her father, a nomadic buck who coupled with a young E'leond doe one rut, filling her head with stories of his family line. Though the two were an affectionate pair, he was, like others, chased off by the herd once the rut had concluded, leaving the pregnant mother-to-be with only his recounting of the family history to go by. The Thunderhoof clan has traditionally been a line of guards and warriors, but if there were any among their number who could wield their namesake element, they lived long, long ago. The name means little now beyond the pride it may instill in those who believe the old family tales. Tamelyn is one such deer, and feels it is her duty in life to be a bulwark against danger--regardless of how capable of that she may actually be. Born and raised in E'leond, she had a loving (if naive) mother and a quiet childhood but for the times she disrupted it herself with her fiery nature. As she matured, she felt the rigid, traditional structure of the herd to be stifling and so dispersed to seek her own way in the world. |
